A painter, graphic designer, creator of space
Astrid Chevallier has been working free-lance since 1994.
She studied at the Beaux-arts and the Arts Appliqués, and used to work in communication agencies before deciding to run independent. Since then she has worked for cities or theater companies, she has taught the manipulation of graphic softwares, she has written and performed a CD-Rom on the treatment of digital pictures, she has delt with animation and cartoon, and also made stage settings and numerous paintings. She also monitors multimedia and web spaces, and works on personal projects.
Graphic designer on the web site appointed by a team of young journalists dedicated to achieve crossing the Americas on bicycles, she decided to join them for traveling through the Rainforest. Its the beginning of the adventure Amazone 99. Lost in the open with a laptop, a digital camera and - of course - a bike harnessed by equipment for the journey, she brought back more than 2500 photographs, about forty drawings, sounds and animations, and a daily road book
that gave birth to this book.
